Oncimmune Holdings plc, an early cancer detection technology company, saw its shares start trading on London’s AIM market today.  Oncimmune raised GBP11.0 million through the issue of shares at 130.00 pence per share. Its market capitalisation upon admission was around GBP66.3 million.

Oncimmune intends to use proceeds from the float to continue to develop its products, focused on auto-antibody tests which it said have the potential to detect cancer up to four years earlier than other methods, and can be applied to a “very wide range” of solid tumour types.  Mackintosh Capital’s partners have been investors in Oncimmune since 2012.

Paddy Power has become the first major betting company to offer a mobile app that lets you bet by voice. Paddy Power has voice-enabled its GoBrazilNuts app, which covers the football World Cup. The app uses technology from Capito Systems, which specialises in intelligent voice control for mobile eCommerce apps. Punters can now ‘talk to Paddy’ to find what they want and to place a bet.

Oncimmune has sold a substantial interest in its US subsidiary business, including its CLIA certified laboratory, to Health Diagnostics Laboratory (HDL).  Oncimmune is an industry leader in early cancer detection.  In 2009, Oncimmune launched its proprietary platform technology for early cancer detection, called EarlyCDT, which measures autoantibodies (immune-biomarkers) in blood that form early in carcinogenesis.  HDL will operate tests in the US under licence from Oncimmune, whilst Oncimmune will continue its ongoing research and development work.  For more details, click www.oncimmune.co.uk
